News for March 2000
The first practice day at the Tri-City Raceway on March 18 was rained out.
Tom and I finished the new car on the 23rd just in time for the second practice
day at TCR on the 25th. Ryan and I took the car to the track and set the toe
and made minor tire pressure changes. There were lots of new drivers on the
track so I never really got the car up to full speed for more than one or two
laps. The car handled great. After about 8 laps of running the motor at about
6000-7000 RPM I noticed some steam coming out from under the hood so I pulled
into the pits. The fan had flexed enough to puncture the radiator. We were done
for the day. So we have two weeks to get the radiator and fan fixed, bleed the
clutch, and adjust the right rear brake. We will be putting on the vinyl graphics
the week of the 27th and I will get some photos of the car as soon as I can.
